Dr. Paul Lounsberry
Dr. Paul Lounsberry, a committed general dentist in Austin since graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1984, achieved his long-term goal in 1995 by establishing Balcones Family Dental—a community-focused family practice.
Having retired, Dr. Lounsberry remains a dedicated partner to the practice. He has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence throughout his career, prioritizing continuing education with over 50 hours annually. Serving as Restorative Advisor in Lone Star Dental Seminars, he has been an active member of prestigious dental organizations, including the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Even in retirement, Dr. Lounsberry continues to contribute to philanthropic causes, notably the Texas Baptist Children’s Home. He remains engaged in their Annual Golf Marathon, offering essential dental care to those in need.
Devoted to family and community, Dr. Lounsberry, alongside his wife Sandy and three children, continues to actively support local initiatives, church activities, and schools. In his leisure time, he indulges his passion for the great outdoors through activities such as boating, golfing, and hunting.

Dr. Ross Maddox
Dr. Ross Maddox, a proud Texan from Dallas, has called Central Texas home for over a decade. With a Bachelor’s in Microbiology from Texas State University and a degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, he joined Balcones Family Dental in 2011.
Dr. Maddox is an active member of dental societies, including the Capital Area Dental Society, TDA, and ADA. Engaged in continuous learning, he earns over 40 CE credits annually through The Lone Star Dental Seminars.
In 2013, Dr. Maddox married the love of his life, Cherie, a registered nurse. They share a love for outdoor activities, sports, and their two dogs, Danish and Daisy. Living in the “Live Music Capital of the World,” Dr. Maddox, a percussionist for over 20 years, finds fulfillment in Austin’s vibrant music scene.
Dr. Sharaf
Dr. Sharaf, our skilled dentist specializing in oral surgery and sedation procedures, earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in his home country of Egypt in 2011. After five years of practice as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, he pursued further education at the University of Southern California, obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2018.
Dr. Sharaf completed a comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at Louisiana State University, honing his expertise in complex procedures, inpatient management, operating room surgery, and implant dentistry
A proud member of the Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, and his local district dental society, Dr. Sharaf balances his professional life with leisure activities. Outside the office, he enjoys lakeside moments with friends, playing tennis, and pursuing his passion for flying.
Dr. Christopher Glecos
Hailing from Erie, Pennsylvania, Dr. Glecos earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Kentucky before attending Temple University’s Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. Trained by specialists and seasoned general dentists, he developed proficiency in various areas of General Dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
Committed to providing top-tier care, Dr. Glecos continually enhances his expertise through extensive continuing education. He is a member of the Texas Dental Association and Seattle Study Club.
When Dr. Glecos is not in the office, he embarks on outdoor pursuits such as kayaking, golfing, and staying active through workouts.
